If anybody is interested in hosting please let me know. You will find this server isn't crammed like the typical webhost, has very good specs, tons of bandwidth available with a 100 Mbps connection to the backbone. This server can use up to 10 TB of bandwidth per month (that is 10000 GB/mo, not a typo) which is unheard of. You will also have many features available to you such as PHP, MySQL databases, Email, etc. For a reasonable price you can have something just as fast as ozzu on the same network with great uptime.

PM me if you are interested, and I am sure we can work something out to meet your exact needs and price that you are wanting.

You wouldn't happen to be in need of a designer for your hosting website would you? lol

//OK I'm a little rusty at web design but it's the thought that counts.

Won't be making a new website for this. If anything just adding another section on ozzu (with the same design) dedicated to the hosting part.

Thanks for the thought! :D

What sort of accounts ?
Is it CPanel or something of the sort ?

I'm comfortable with pretty much anything, including nothing, as long as I don't have to do much if any DNS tinkering. I know how to tell Godaddy to point the domain somewhere, and I know how to add virtualhosts to an Apache configuration. That's the extent of my DNS knowledge.

It does have Cpanel installed which seems to make things very easy for everyone to administer their accounts.

I sent one back to thank you but it got stuck in the outbox so I sent again but that got stuck too.

It could be you got two

If that normally happens I never noticed it before.

Thanks Brian!

If it is in the outbox it simply means I have not read it yet. Once it is in the sentbox that means I have read it. That is how it has always worked ;)

I just want to say that this has been the smoothest migration that I've experienced in the 10+ years I've been messing around with websites. A big Kudos to Brian.

[begin plug]I completely suggest and recommend anyone in need of good quality inexpensive hosting check into this. You won't regret it. I have five years experience with the quality of bigwebmaster's work and you can be assured it's dependable.[/end plug]

You make me laugh out loud sometimes AT/NO

I saw and it looks good, its just I already have two hosts. But if for any reason I decide on a new one, Brian is the man I would choose to take care of my sites.

Wow that was easy.

I already had a mirror backup here at home, so I just did a little spring cleaning on that before tar-ing it up, scp-ing it to my new home, and untar-ing it.

Other than that all I had to do was create a new database, execute a few SQL queries, and use nano to update a couple of file paths in htaccess and a config file.

After that everything just kinda worked so far. All I have left is to switch the nameserver after I do a thorough check on a few non-vital bits and pieces.

I like it. It's a lot closer to the environment I have at home than what I had before.

Glad everything went smooth :)

That is exactly how I would migrate sites as well (if not a cpanel account). Just tar up the entire site, move the package, and then untar it.
