I'm going to open up a website that is pretty much just phpBB based. I've been looking at http://www.ixwebhosting.com because of their professional looking service and reasonable prices. Anybody have any other ideas as far as hosting goes? Anybody have experience with IX Web Hosting?

I do not know if the mods. does count that offer as SPAM!
But i could offer our service to you to host your site with phpBB!
We have more reasonable prices with ServerMatrix and Valuweb datacenters with POWER Tools which allows you to instal phpBB and the others by server side with one click.

I know http://www.ifroggyhosting.com/ does phpBB hosting, but I'm not sure how good they are

I've had two different (3 if you count the computer under my foot) hosting providers and they were both great, all you're really looking for is php/mysql support and a machine with some horsepower (2+GHz, 1GB+ RAM, SCSI hdd)

I can't see as how asking for a web host to support phpBB could be considered spam.

I would suggest our own mods for solutions. Specifically, Bigwebmaster (site owner), UNFLUX and Axe.

They all offer hosting that would do what you want and I am confident in their service.

Don't worry about it. I already pointed that out for you. Not a problem. You're fine.

i know i personally said that my post could be considered spam because it could be considering "advertising" since it was a post for a site owned by me
