Are you using an addon domain or a parked domain?

New Domain Name: my.domain.com

Click Subdomain at the main page of the cpanel admin
>add "my" infront of the domain.com box.
Then
user= my@domain.com or direct server ip
pass is the identified pass when you create subdomain.
dir= main_html/my/

Thats all.
