I have a new host, so 2 days ago i was changing the Nameservers to the direction of the new host. Since then i've not recieved any emails in my personal website inbox.

I wondered if this could have something to do with the nameservers? It just seems very strange as my email addresses are currently being run off my old host which is expiring soon. I was going to update my email address info sometime soon, but realise i'm going to have to do this pretty soon in order to recieve emails.

Could the nameserver direction affect the email addresses in any way?

I would say yes if your email address is the same domain as your web site.

Oh right. Seemed like the most logical explanation to what has happened.

Thanks Don2007

I feel quite stupid now. Just looking at the email settings i couldn't help but notice the "incoming" and "outgoing" servers pointing to my old host. It just makes so much sense.

So by changing the nameservers i'm changing every possible thing regarding that domain name including what the pop3 settings should be for emails. I just assumed it was just pointing the domain in the direction of the new host files.

Yeah, you won't get the email on old host if your domain changed

Yeah, spent around half an hour removing the spam. About 70% of the emails were spam.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
