RAID!!!

hello , i run a server (Hosting server) and i have a few RAID devices

anyone else use any RAID peripherals?

if so what would you say is the best device and has it helped your server?

What sort of peripherals are you using and what has been their benefit? Sharing such things would certainly be helpful...

We use a raid5 config, which in itself has been very helpful. With proper striping, we can lose an entire drive with no data loss. Simply replace the drive, set the array re-configuration and the full array is setup again within hours.. Now, if you lose 2 drives, things get a little more hectic and youre needing to recover from backup - but - thankfully you dont see 2 drives fail at once very often :) (darn, im pretty sure I just jinxed myself - off to fret over my hard drives now :) )
