Hi,

i knw this aint paypaldev website but i wnt to knw what other hosts do

i have a paypal account and i am a hosting provider also nw.. but i am jus buildin my site

Frm wut i know, u need to use Paypal IPN software or just post info to the paypal site to process payment....

could any of you webhosts tell me wut process you make ur customers do once deciding on a package?

For example.. person goes on ur site then clicks "BUY".. then what happens?

What i was thinking

i was tinking bout mking someone register first n hve all important vars in hidden input fields then post to paypal server. bt then i was tinking what if this person doesnt have a paypal account? I dnt wnt them to run off tinking they got a long process to go through... so wuts the best option?

Thanks...

I could barely decipher that message... so I didn't read the whole thing. If you are talking about recurring payments, go to Merchant tools and click Create Payment Button. Then, fill in the info, and it will create some HTML for you.

You are not Nem. In over a year I have never seen Nem speak in chatspeak. What prompted you to hijack his handle?

Sorry... Atno - Do you have any suggestions on what i can do with recurring payment processing? What would be the safest option?

Thank you.

I've never used the IPN, although I know that topic has been discussed here a couple times (try a search for IPN). I generally have always used the encripted version of the paypal link. It works, and have never had any complaints.

For high volume work, you should consider other payment options than PayPal. Research payment gateways, and choose a solution that works for you. If you are in the US you will not only have to keep track of payments, but you will need to send 1099 forms for tax purposes.

No prob, but , my apologies. I was thinking too fast. I had that backwards. If your clients are on the ball, they will be the ones sending you the 1099's. You are responsible for any taxes on the 1099's. If they are not on the ball, enjoy the profits. In either case good record keeping is a must.
