I'm looking for reseller hosting. I've looked at hostgator and I was wondering if anyone has had any experiance with them or if there are any other good resellers that anyone has had luck with.

Hi,

I have hosted sites with several resellers. Hostgator was one of them. I only hosted about a month and then canceled.

What is bugging me is I cannot remember why I canceled. I am pretty sure it was because they did not meet a need I had at the time and canceled before getting to invested with them.

So the good news is I do not have any strong aversion to them.

The bad news is I don't remember why I canceled.

I have hosted for several years with Vortechhosting.com. Their storage limits are lower than many resellers. My reseller plan has a 5 gig limit verses the 750 gigs I have with another resller. But they have been extremely reliable and tech support responsive. They use HSphere for the control panel.

I do not recommend HostDepartment.com. At least my experience was not positive. My website went down 1-5 times each day for a few minutes or hours. When questioned, tech support seemed act like it was my problem, not theirs. I prepaid 6 months and when things had not improved, I dropped them.

Hope this helps.

Jerlo

I'd advise you to use a reselling solution from MMHosting.com, Resellerzoom.com and HostWW.net companies.
All these companies has nice reputations and prices are nice.

I think Hostgator.com is a good choice, they give you what you pay for.

To be honest hostgator is great for resellers, The service is good and the support you get is great, But I only hosted a server with them for a month so mabye someone with a longer account with them could tell you what they thought.

But for the month that I had i enjoyed it very much. I am not trying to promote hostgator to benifit me in anyway but i think you should try them out.

I've had a reseller account with Hostgator for about six months now and I like it. I'm hosting about ten websites right now and everything's been cool.

The only problem I've had is that one of my clients has a huge mailing list, so I'm struggling through emailing restrictions now (500 per hour limit). I think you have these same issues with any shared hosting, though, so it's not really a problem with Hostgator.

I'd recommend you reselling from MMHosting.com. Low prices and in-house support are the essential things for resellers IMO.

well, what kind of money are you looking to spend?

It really depends on what you need, do you already have clients or is this a start up business?

Had a friend point me to this host in response to a completely unrelated problem I'm having... but she was raving about how she was using them for resell hosting as well. Might want to look at Vortech Hosting.

Webhostingbuzz.com has also entrancing reselling. They offer two different types of reseller hosting. Their basic reseller hosting plans are affordable and include their WebHostManager tool, allowing to add/edit/delete new websites under the reseller account quickly and easily.

A2hosting.com provides nice reseller accounts. They offer WebHostManager (WHM)/cPanel with all Reseller plans. Their price range is also nice.
