Basically when I send e-mails from my sites, some email providers block them entirely. But yahoo works, so I know it's working.

I put a mail server (only using the SMTP part), so I could send PHP mail() on my Windows XP web server for my website. But not many of those e-mails are actually going through. Like, for example I got the e-mail in my yahoo mail bulk folder. Other e-mails don't even put it in their boxes (like hotmail). Is there a way you can see your server communicate with the other e-mail servers so you can debug? I didn't have any MX records, so I figured those would help and I added them and it still won't work with anything else. Is there only a certain way mail send via mail() can work or what? I know it works and my server works.

I doubt you can send PHP mail to other people... HTML is okay but I don't know about PHP...

LOL, you're a n00b. Actually yes bogey you can, but you need to put it on as an attachment. Actually you could probably send raw php yeah... but it wouldn't parse it.

*UPDATE*

I finally got it working good, but of course everyone puts it in their bulk mail (like Yahoo). Any good tips?

On yahoo it goes into the bulk mail folder.

My friend doesn't even get it on his hotmail account? What gives...

You need to ask your host about setting up an ip and an spf record.
