This is a perfect example of why I need to learn more about servers...

I have an image (actually, this is not an isolated problem, but lets focus on just one image) that won't show up when it is used on a page. The page is on myspace.com and the image is on my site, mybannermaker.com

Hotlink protection is off, and the image is within the src of an img tag. The html code is identical to that of working images that are in the same directory, same size, same everything except name.

If you directly visit the image, it works fine. Otherwise, it simply displays nothing on the user end but a blank image...it doesn't return a 404 error or anything..and the blank image is the correct size...but there is not any data sent through.

Page to find it: http://www.myspace.com/love_CS

That is one case of it...if you scroll down to the comment just below the "Merry Christmas" banner you should see a comment that says "Make your own Banner Here!" and a space above it...that space is supposed to be the image. Note, you might need to browse through this users comments to find the image if it isn't on the first page anymore...sorry.

Thanks in advance to anybody who can think of what this is. I already checked all my htaccess files and the hosting company doesn't have a clue (talked to the owner/operator).

None of those seem to be it. I can link to the image from my machine by copying the code directly out of the source.

Double check the ftp to make sure the path and filename are correct.

I am unable to even view the raw image now as the response states "Bandwidth limit exceeded".
