Ok I've learned a lot about the languages, but I never found out how to setup the servers. Currently I upload all of my asp/php files to a paid server for testing. But I'd like to be able to test them locally without having to upload them. I'd also like to be able to use MySQL databases. I have no intention of setting up a webserver, I just want a platform in which to test my files. I'm running XP Home. Would someone be willing to help me set up Apache in order to install all these components, or would someone know of a good tutorial?

Thanks!

umm ok?

Did a google search, didn't really find anything about it.

I read on here that someone mentioned FoxServ. I looked into it but it's still in beta evidentally. Would be that be the way to go to start something with php/mysql/apache?

Check out the Apache, php and MySQL websites, download the software and follow the installation instructions. It should allbe pretty straightforward, there's a whole lot of help out there when you come across specific problems.

I've been very happy with phpdev423. Similar to foxserv, only better :)
