I am the webmaster of a K-12 school district in Meridian, ID (USA). One server hosts the web sites for all of our secondary schools as well as a number of sites used for district operations. The machine uses LAMP and one IP address. VirtualHosts have been configured to manage hosting & configuration for all subdomains served from this computer.

We have a couple schools who are interested in using web forms on their sites, and I'm probably going to deploy the PHP version of FormMail to meet that need. I don't want to have multiple copies of the script running all over the place, however. I want to configure and install it only ONCE.

My question is this: Is there any way to configure the script and host it in one central location on the server outside all the individual document roots so any school that wants to can use it?

TIA for your help.
