Sendmail?

You said nothing about the architecture of the machine. What is it? Unix, Linux, Winders? :)

Hard to help, when we don't have a place to start.

Cheers.

Architecture, commonly refers to the powerplant; the CPU type, etc. You have a Wintel-type box running Win2K.

I cannot say if this is good or not, but I found this; \
http://www.totalshareware.com/asp/detai ... tion=34151

Which purports to be a freeware MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) fro Windows. Of course, you could use ANY MTA that works for Windows, including the ported version of the ones we enjoy in Unix-land, however I sometimes think that for small projects, it's best not to try an inundate an individual with more than they can easily handle. Something like a small, Windows-native program might be just the ticket.

As I said though, <DISCLAIMER> I have never even seen this product in action, and cannot verify the veracity of the producer's claims. YMMV. </DISCLAIMER>
Good luck.

if u need SMTP only, try PostCast SMTP Server, it is free :) please note that it is not an NT Service, so u have to set it to launch at start up.

if u need full SMTP/POP3 server at a real professional level, try iMail
