Presumably you're asking if you can run Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL on the same box?

If so, I don't see why not :)

Far as I know, you could have MySQL and MS SQL running on one server..

You can most certainly run MySQL and MSSQL on a single server if it was a Microsoft server as MySQL is MS compliant out of the box (as is MSSQL - obviously).

However, running MS SQL and MySQL on a linux server is ALOT more difficult, as MS SQL does not play nice with Linux - if you are running a Linux box, you would be better off running MySQL and Sybase (if you required a second DB platform) - or - virtual partitioning that box into a Linux and an MS box (which would effectively make it 2 separate units anyway)

Im sure people have configured ODBC drivers properly to accomodate MS SQL - Not something I have really ever looked into though.

A good person to ask about this would be Darkfoxx - maybe he will run across this thread and add his comments....
