Unix and linux

Did these two operating systems meld together somehow ? You dont see much of unix anymore.

Really?

That's interesting. Only recently did MS outstrip Unix/*nix as the leader in webservers; I sincerely doubt the same holds true for ALL servers.

There has been no "melding" per se, however a lot of foundational work is cross-utilized (TCP stacks, IPSEC implementations, etc.) as well as application-ware/middle-ware.
