ive been searching for a good mysql host and run accross sites that would advertise "unlimited mysql database" but nowhere does it say how much mysql space it offers.

could that mean unlimited mysql space? not many sites list how much they offer mysql space they offer.

I don't know about others but we offer mysql space equal to your disk space. For example if you buy 1 GB Space from us, then you also have 1 GB mysql space in your account and off course unlimited databases means unlimited not unlimited space!

Unlimited never means unlimited, It means unmetered.
Unmetered means they don't give you a fixed amount of space, But if they think you are using too much they will suspend your account. It's much better to know how much you can use so you can buy as much as you need.

Hi

you may read
allnet4u.com/theunlimitedbandwidthcontroversy.html

and the unlimited bandwith myth.
and you can also think for space.

how a host/reseller or whatevercan offer a real unlimited space when his HD is limited in space, even if connected with other, there are alway a limit one day.

the provider count on if no one or almost no one take their max bandwith and space.

but it is sometime risky, and thats why you see many server over loaded and with the problem we all know, one day we wake up and up ... your site not appear ....

There is when is concerns mysql databases. It basically means, you can make as many mysql databases as you wish.
However, the amount of space of which the data IN THEM takes up cannot exceed your allocated disk space.
