uploading picture to server help

can i upload pictures through putty? is there another way of doing it?

You can use any ftp client. I happen to like filezilla which is free on sourceforge.net

putty is a ssh/telnet client, its not well designed for transfering files. do as suggested and go with an ftp client instead.

That is, of course, unless what you meant was you had ssh access to a box ONLY -- no ftp.

In which case, you could use scp (secure copy) which utilizes ssh as a tunnel to transfer files.

That's a big "if" though.
