Can someone tell me why this happens, on Google for example:
1)The URL is http://www.pointarenalighthouse.com/about.html
but
2)sometimes it appears in the search results as http://www.mcn.org/1/PALIGHT/about.html

The ISP tech suggested it comes up as http://www.mcn.org/1/PALIGHT/about.html because that's what people must have bookmarked in the past. That doesn't make any sense.

Thanks

Yes, that doesn't make sense, but what the ISP probably means is that the http://www.mcn.org URL is more popular, so it's got a higher ranking than http://www.pointarenalighthouse.com.
