Do you see similar values on your servers?
Do you see the similar values for the VIRT column as I have above (for both NAMED and HTTPD)?
Does a typical httpd request take 0.2% memory on your system as well?

I'm hosting single static pages. No PHP.

I just have some inhouse ssh & ftp servers. I ran the command on them & some other shells that I have. I don't see anything that looks out of line on your output.

For httpd/apache that looks similar to a server with mostly default settings I have at home. It's about 3X-4X the numbers of a server I have websites on that someone else manages though.
