Webfaction site making problem

Alright... I'm very frustrated right now... whoever uses webfaction for hosting George L *cough* *cough* 
How do I make it so I can have my own PHP and my own site up there and not have those blasted apps on it? I don't know anything on it and the knowledgebase they have (The faq) is not so helpful)... I'm posting this topic wherever I can
