The software is called phpBB, and it is free.
Get it at http://phpbb.com/

The theme is called smartDark, and it too is free.
Get it at http://www.phpbbhacks.com/viewhack.php?id=765

then extract the files to yr local directory.
then, upload them to yr online server

check http://www.phpbb.com for further installation help.
their help file is step-by-step. pretty good.

when it opens up in winzip or whatever, have a look for a file called "readme.txt", "install.txt" or something similar, or try looking for a "docs" or "help" directory :)

Hey, I downloaded the newest version of PHPbb (2.0.10) and I think I understand everything, with the notable exception of:

Quote:
2.2: MS Access 2000/XP
Before you install phpBB 2.0, you need to create a Data Source Name. The exact way to do this will depend on your hosting provider; if you are unsure you should check with them before proceeding. In general though, you should create a System DSN which points to the location where you have stored an unzipped copy of the ms_access_primer.mdb file ( ms_access_primer.zip can be found in db/schemas/). The name you give this DSN will be used during installation. Do not proceed until this step is complete!

I am trying to host a webserver and I have Apache, PHP, and MySQL installed and working (as per my tests), however I have no clue what this section is indicating that I should do for pre-install preparation... Can someone break this down to me? from what I understand I have to create some sort of database?

Thank you for the help.

Tony
