well im a poor student in the outskirts of a city called liverpool and im on pennys :( but im with http://studentwebhosting.co.uk they are based in uk and are really cheap

£30 or $50 per year with 50mb and a 2gb bandwidth per month u also get a free domain when u buy.

you can get extra mb for ur site

50mb = £0.50p or $1.50 per month year.

and

1gb bandwidth = £2 or $5 per year

http://www.ipowerweb.com << Ipowerweb for:

It's decent, but they get you on certain things, like sub-domains, which are TEN bucks! But it's a great price, only $7.95 a month if you pay for a year (ironic, huh?).

I think i'm getting 35 gigs of bandwith and 750 megs of space, but I couldn't be sure.

Check it out, it's GREAT if you don't need sub-domains, but their version of cPanel seems a bit old, though they claim it's 6.0.....

-------------------------------

http://www.1and1.com << 1and1 (FREE!!!!! it's a promotion going on) for:

  • http://www.sniperdevil.com <<< it has a placeholder page, haven't even started building; ordered a couple of days ago

eh... what can I say? For the price (free + $5.99 a year for domain), it's great. 500 megs of space, but only 5 gigs of bandwith, and 1 mysql db... but Python, Perl, PHP, CGI support, so that's nice....

proprietary control panel, i really don't like it nearly as much as cPanel, but it'll do..

1and1 is a fairly large company with 3,500 employees, they work with NetSol I think (network solutions.. you guys must know them :D), so they're pretty well-respected.

BTW intrepid design, I am seriously considering going with PowWeb as many of my friends use them and say they are great.

We use http://www.monsterhosting.ca and they have provided excellent support and customer service. They have packages that start at $4.95.

Right now I'm hosted at ICDsoft which is okay. Their server speeds are kinda slow sometimes but their support is really fast and helpful.

I'm switching to V7 inc, http://www.v7inc.com/ , right now.

I use the guys over at MyProHost.

They've got great plans & prices, with virtually non-existent downtime, and great speed.

Here's a list of their set plan list, but they will work with you to create a custom plan if you need it. I've got a dozen sites hosted with them now for myself and clients, and I've never had a single problem with them.
