Should I renew my whoisgaurd?

I don't know how relative the title is to the actual topic as I'm not very good at titles but I'm wondering if it's worth it to have a whoisgaurd enabled on a domain.

What are the pros and cons of having whoisgaurd enabled and if it's worth it. If it's not worth it please post your opinion on why you think so.

Don't the registry provide this service anyway, domain protection that hides your info. i used fake details for my account anyway so really does not bother me. So if you wana avoid harvesting bots a little which if it is not 1 it is going to be another bot crawling your site.

If it is at a reasonable price and your happy with it then i guess go for it.
