Hello. I'm Johnny... I'm a PHP programmer with 4-year background. I also like design and administration of databases. Till now I have created WEB applications exclusively for the INTRANETs of different corporations.

My web-applications were very much oriented to functional aspect, and very little design.

I have started work on websites ment for WorldWideWeb relatively soon. I am looking for a "niche" idea, something genuine and never-heard-off. Of course, good ideas are hard to find and old habits are very hard to forget.

What I'm trying to say is that I need help on what concerns Basic Design, WebSite promotion, etc.

Sales is a numbers game for the most part.
The harder you work the more you sell.
Real Estate has a bad stigma because there's too many part timers not doing their job correctly.
I spend 3 hours a day soliciting and calling prospective buyers for the houses that are listed with the company I market for.
I have hired 3 full time people to call just to solicit buyers for the houses we list.
How many part time Real Estate Agents do you know that do that much for their listings.
No wonder 50% of the listings in my market expire before they sell.
Sad really how people put their biggest asset (house) into the hands of someone working part time!
I guess my pet peeve (sp?) is the people that drag down the reputation of the real estate business!
My mortgage background (7 years in the business) has taught me more about real estate then I think I'll ever learn working with real estate agents.
That's why I work as the marketing director not as an agent but the company I work with has many top agents so I can't complain!

My name is James, Im 21 yrs old, I became a computer tech for Coastal Computers in California after getting out of the marine corps. I know the basics of html and thats pretty much how I design my web pages, lots of photoshop cropping/resizing, and tables. You gotta love tables. Anyway I was once relatively competent in Visual Basic, but that was years ago, c, and c++ were far too much time and energy spent for far to little yield. I guess I just needed to stick with it, but I had other things in mind.

I play guitar and have a home studio for recording, thats pretty much my main interest. I am a mac person, I hate windows, I installed Mandriva Linux (the free one) <.edit> on a new pc box I bought from the shop for cheap<.EndEdit> and Im currently trying to get all that working properly. Im sure I will be back here to ask someone to save me. Anyway hope everyone is doing well!
