My name is Randy from Cleveland,Tennessee,USA.
I am a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic by trade and own a welding business.
I love messing around with computers. It all happened about 14 years ago when my wife just had to have a computer. Myself had zero interest in computers at that time but being the perfect husband, I purchased an old Kaypro running DOS 3.something for her but she had no clue. She went to the local library and checked out a stack of books on the subject. Problem was, she still had no clue so I had to learn it so I could teach her.
That might have been a mistake because I was immediately hooked. I learned enough DOS to write some simple programs and very shortly Bill and friends came out with Windows. Well, it has been a ride since then. I have learned quite a bit about computers since that first old "KP" due to my inability to stop messing with them. I seem to be constantly causing my own problems just to see if I can straighten them out. Just as the one I had last night that brought me to this site which was caused by just trying something different.
I know people that have had computers for years and never had a problem, but they don't "mess" with them, they just use them. ha ha
I am very happy to be a member of this forum, and hope that I can help someone else due to having had all kinds of problems myself.
