Introduce Yourself Archive 2008
Goldstein Media LLC was conceived in 1998 in the earlier years of the Web site revolution by Seth Goldstein. Seth fell in love with the idea of personal expression and the profitability of Web sites. Back then, sites were just basic HTML and graphics. As the years went on, Seth’s love for the Web grew as did his fascination with Web design.
Over the past nine years, Seth has designed sites for a variety of companies as a contract designer. In late 2007, Seth finally decided it was time to bring Goldstein Media LLC into reality.
Mixing classic simplicity with subtle and sometimes bold elegance, Goldstein Media LLC strives to bring companies of all sizes into the 21st century with their own unique presence on the Web.

Hi.
You look like you wouldn't get to pissed off at a stupid question. I want to design my own website but haven't the slightest idea where to start. I asked in Afterdawn, they directed me here but so far, I don't see any Beginner sections for those starting from scratch.
Any ideas

We normally recommend the W3Schools XHTML and CSS tutorials, then move up to javascript, then any of the various serverside scripting languages. It just takes patience and practice, and eventually you will become a master at web designing.

Hello all,
My name is Matt, I'm 22, and I'm very keen on Webpage design.
I've created a few sites for friends, family and work, but they were all basic HTML.
I'm currently self-teaching myself XHTML, advances CSS and ASP/ADO, and signed up here as it seems to be the best place on the web to go for advice, help and tutorials!

Hello guys and gals,
I've been trolling these forums for awhile and figured I should actually register. I am employed as a webmaster at a university, and I also teach web design courses. That doesn't mean I know everything - there's so much to learn.
Lately, I have been getting some community interest for my pages and so there may be lots of side jobs coming. How can I manage these and still have a life?
I hope to take advantage of some of the templates available here for businesses that want great looking websites, and learn more efficient ways of designing great websites.
