Hi,

I want to create a simple intro for my new site. It will be very simple, and will be simply a dark background with a banner. I would like it to fade in, and the banner to either fade/fly/dissolve (or any other effect really!) in, and then for a link to appear to the main site.

I'm hoping someone may do this for free, but I may pay a small amount if need be. I don't mind what program/language is used to create this really.

You must need a fade in banner. A dark banner is good. I see gu3 can help you.
