Senior Database Administrator for Hot Web 2.0 Company -San Francisco, CA

This dynamic company is looking for a Senior Database Administrator to assume responsibilities for
* Install, configure and maintain MySQL databases in staging and production environments
* Ensure highly available DB environment and be responsible for recoverability in case of disaster
* Ensure 24x7 non-stop operation, provide on-call support
Requirements:
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent
* 5+ years of DBA experience in commercial production environment
* 3+ years experience with high availability systems
* Extensive experience with MySQL4.1, 5.
a plus
* Linux system management skills (Debian / Ubuntu / CENTOS)
* Working knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting, such as Perl/shell
* Strong DB Server side performance tuning experience (mytop etc)
* Strong knowledge of storage technologies: RAID, NFS etc.
* Experience with incremental backup systems such as Zmanda
* Experience with Apache, Memcached, CVS, Subversion
* Excellent verbal and written skills
* Proactive problem solving
Nice to have:
* Working knowledge of networking, routing, load balancing
* Experience with data modeling and data analysis
* Exposure to reporting/optimization tools
* Knowledge of grid computing concepts
* Data warehousing experience
All jobs are located in downtown San Francisco, and include health benefits and stock options
