Our firm is looking for a Solutions Architect.

We are a leader in strategic marketing consulting for inbound and outbound optimization and personalization. Our proven methodology and experienced professionals can effectively implement the right solutions that encompass best-of-breed technology from leading providers.


Position: Solutions Architect
Term: Contract, 6 months renewable.
Compensation: $35.00-$60.00/hour, depending on experience.


Description:
The successful candidate will be required to perform multiple roles as required: Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Test Analyst and Enterprise Architect.


Key Responsibilities:
* Lead development and implementation to support effective campaign segmentation and analytics, data mining, modeling and profiling of data into information and actionable metrics
* Participate in Implementation of a comprehensive, customer-centric data warehousing/data mart environment to support marketing initiatives
* Work with the technology project teams to implement new functionality to support business needs.
* Participate in requirements definition.
* Implement technical data requirements for integrating partner data to be used for marketing campaigns.
* Develop, maintain and support the data exchange process between Client and email service provider to support campaign management ensuring data quality and integrity.
* Deliver technical documentation such as specifications, training manuals etc.
* Define process improvement ideas.


General Responsibilities:

Data Analyst Role
* Excellent research, analytical and problem solving skills; Strong relational database concepts;
* Advanced user of MS Excel with working knowledge of VBA, as well as strong MS Office skills in -particular MS Access, MS Project and MS PowerPoint;
* Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases;
* Strong user of SQL:
o Basic/Complex queries
o Ability to relate multiple tables
o Build views linking tables
o Use SQL loading and extraction tools
o Use Stored Procedures, ETLs, DTS as required
* Must be able to think creatively around complex data models;
* Have the ability to deal with ambiguity as well as dig into details;
* Work with management to develop required reports, build and deliver them on a recurring or ad hoc -basis as required for both operations and finance functions;
* Ensure the integrity of reports and the data on an ongoing basis through regular maintenance and updates in step with changes to source systems and data;
* Create, maintain and enhance a repeatable process to insure a quality output;
* Minimum of 2 years of experience using data mining applications and demonstrated competence working with large data sets;

Business Analyst Role
* Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
* Must have experience in Requirements Gathering sessions of a large software development project.
* Excellent communication and presentation skill both oral/written
* Strong analysis skills. Able to take complex business needs and translate them to technical requirements
* Teamwork and cooperation
* MS Excel: Expert at manipulating data to understand results.
* MS Word, Power Point, Visio: Understand how to use these tools together to creatively present ideas and results.
* Develop and present End-User training sessions

Test Analyst Role
* Review, Analysis, Confirmation and Quality Analysis of Requirements Documentation
* Development and Creation of Test Documentation in HP/Mercury Quality Center and/or in other document formats (ex. MS Word, Excel and etc)
* Test Execution either Manually or with Test Automation Tools
* Identify opportunities for Test Automation & Test Process Improvements
* Ensuring that the Test Manager/Lead is kept apprised of all Issues (whether Test-related or other) in a timely fashion
* Attends any/all Required Meetings including:
o Requirements Documentation Review
o Design Documentation Review
o Project-related meetings
o Daily/Weekly Variance Review Meetings
o Daily/Weekly UAT/Testing Meetings
o Any other required meetings

Enterprise Architect Role
* Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
* Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
* Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
* Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
* Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
* Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
* Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
* Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
* Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
* Analyzing Information, Software Design, Software Documentation, Software Testing, Teamwork, General Programming Skills, Software Development Fundamentals, Software Development Process, Software Requirements, Software Architecture, Coaching

Knowledge and Experience:
* Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Computer Science or related field from Canadian or USA University
* Strong Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies
* Strong Experience in Software Development
* Strong Experience in Data Analysis
* Strong Experience in Business Analysis
* Strong Experience in Enterprise Architecture
* Experience with Databases like SQL Server, ORACLE, DB2 and etc.
* Basic Knowledge of Test Methodologies
* Experience in Testing an Asset
* Experience with MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access) Required
