It really takes some time and patience to rank certain KWs in MSN. On my personal experience, it takes approx. 3 months before I see my site on MSN SERPs.

Who really cares about MSN anyways?

I concentrate on Google and Yahoo if I happen to do well in MSN aswell then cool if not who cares the amount of traffic it sends even when your #1 is near enough non existant compared to Google and Yahoo.

Right we do care also about MSN even though we all know that Google is the largest among them...But I admit I really find hard to rank in MSN rather than Google...I don't know why...

Start getting some free blogs and posting an article on it every week, but break the article up in sub related keywords (synonyms) and link each of the keywords up to your sites pages that you want to rank for... keep doing this for about 1-2 months and you'll rank at the top. :)

I will admit though, MSN is rather fussy, Google is the easiest to rank in, then yahoo, then MSN in my experience. But given good time, still pretty easy to get to the top.

Do onpage optimization correctly.

Post March 6th, 2008, 11:23 pm

I have 2 sites with huge traffic from SE ...

One of the site is getting good traffic from MSN then Google ...

and the other site is ranking high on Google ...

my other sites also gets good traffic from Google but not able to know properly about ranking on MSN.

i have done all this :- "using keywords in your domain + page names, a keyword meta tag, keywords in your title tag, and keywords in your <h1> <h2> tags."

But still Google is best for getting traffic to my site.

Regards

As far as I know, MSN gives more weigh in an on-page optimization so it's better to optimize well your site's pages to rank your keywords in MSN.

I agree on that, i had hard time on getting my keywords rank on msn, but when i started optimizing my page ( on page optimization)i got my keywords ranked. It is not that easy but if you will just concentrate on optimizing your page, on page and off page you'll see the results.
