I want to copy some files from one partition to the other in the recovery console but I get a access denied. My question is, can I change my permissions like in linux chmod style in XP at the command line?

Thank You

The recovery console is pretty limited. Wildcards are not supported for copying, moving and deleting files.

If you just want to copy files, you should be able to accomplish that from within a normal CMD window.

What files are you trying to copy?

I screwed up my partition by adding one for Linux before my C:. It got corrupted ever since. So now I have a new XP partition and I would like to copy files from F: to C: but the only place it recognizes there is F: is at recovery console.

Thanks for your last reply
