I have no idea what happened but all of a sudden the address bar on my IE disappeared. I've tried everything I could think of, it's checked off under View so I don't know what's wrong. Any suggestions?

Try this...

Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel

In there go to Add/Remove Programs

In there click no "Add/Remove Windows Components"

Inside that list will be IE.

Uncheck it and hit ok. It should ask you if you want to uninstall or repair. Try choosing repair.

have you tried and hold your mouse over the bottom of the last bar till you get a up and down arrow and pull it down. If that doesn't work make sure the tool bar isn't locked (the lock feature is under View, toolbars). Let me know if you have tried that

What an Idiot I am. Modern destroyer was right. I held the mouse down and dragged it down. All is well. Thanks all.

Did you try and lock it after it is back so you don't accidently lose it again? That option is under View, toolbars, lock the toolbars. Enjoy :D

Hi! I had my address bar vanish on me today and couldn't figure out what to do. Then I found this site through Google and decided to try your suggestion, Modern Destroyer, and it worked!

I found out that my toolbars had gotten locked. Not sure when that happened or how. But when I unlocked them I was able to pull the tool bar down, like you described, and there it was. Thank you so much... :)
