Whenever i use the GRC ShieldsUp! probing tool, 90% of my ports end up in "Stealth" mode. I'm using a Westell Wirespeed 2200 modem, and I'm on a Vista Home Premium with Nortan Anti Virus + Internet Security. My modem firewall is currently on "None". Any help would be appreciated.

Edit - I tried to probe with my antivirus turned off, and windows firewall turned off, it still is in stealth mode.

Thank You

This is actually a good thing

Finally, the third type of response in case of remote TCP port scanning, is finding a stealth port. In such a case, the machine does not provide any kind of response to the port scanner software. It is recommended to use a firewall that puts ports into stealth mode, as this is the most secure configuration, because in this case no information about services running inside your computer will be disclosed.
