.Audio™ 550 DSP headset/mic from plantrononics. mic wont.

Work... I need some help, because the only reason I got it is b/c I wanted to use the headfones, and also have mic convos with freinds....

when on msn, i try to voice convo... It wont work... even when i try to record voice clip... ON the m$ voice it works, just not on anything else...
