Automatic shutdown

I'm not certain if this should go here, or in Hardware, so I apologise if it's in the wrong place.

On to the problem:
I recently upgraded to Windows XP Home, from Windows ME. On the ME my computer used to turn itself off when I clicked shutdown. However, now that I'm on XP I have to turn the computer off manually. Is there a reason for this?

Right Click on your desktop, select Properties. Go to the Screen Saver tab and click Power. Go to the Advanced Tab. Near the bottom, make sure 'Shut down' is selected under 'When I press the power button on my computer:'
