I created a an autotext in a back up folder on our server and the backup ran so the autotext should be available to all the users, but it isn't. I go into tools-> options-> file locations and change the startup folder to point to the startup folder that had the autotext and macros in it, and it pulls up a list of all macros and autotext, except for the ones I added the night before.

I was told that the back up ran fine, so is there something else I should look at?

Thanks.

If you would, could you please provide the solution?

You'd be surprised at how many people find answers to similar problems from search engine queries that lead them here. Two months from now someone finding this post on a google search would love to know how to solve this same problem...look at the post and see no answer. What good is that? eh?

Cheers.

Here's the solution.

Go into to insert-> Autotext. There is a drop down box saying look in. I needed to drop that down and choose the folder that I wanted the autotext to be saved in. After that, I go and record a new autotext and it will be defaulted into the location I just picked.

Hope this helps.
