I have a movie file as an AVI format...
I am fed up of burning them to VCD, so i want to burn them to dvd, but the sortware (Nero) Only allows these file types
.bup
.vob
.ifo

how can i convert an AVI file so it will play on my dvd player?

from what i can tell i have 2 options.
1) Convert the AVI movie into one of the above formats. (How?)
2) Get better DVD Burning sortware.

any help please?

A program made by Cucusoft will do it very nicely. It is not free though but it is relatively cheap. 20 USD for the standard version.

Use something like cucusoft to copy your avi into mpeg & mpa then run infoedit(freeware) to create the vob etc files then just drag and drop to nero folder VIDEO_TS
