What is the best and most efficient way to block (a) website(s) so whey you try to access to the them VIA IE or Firefox or whatever other browser you might be able to download, you will be blocked.

Are all the websites located on the same dedicated server? Do you have root access to the dedicated server? If so you can block using iptables or whatever firewall you are using.

Or your control panel might support blocking of IP addresses.

Or you can place a .htaccess file in your web directory to block IPs.

I mean from the browser... why would I block from the site? Why would I need the .htaccess to block regular access to the sites?

I thought you wanted to block IPs to your website that might be causing some abuse or something.

I see now you want some sort of parental control right?

If so Norton Internet Security has these features.

Have you had any experience in McAfee?

I read something about a Hosts File but after reading more articles I'm not so sure if that's what I want...

I personally don't like Norton or McAfee. I use AVG instead but only use it for virus protection.

As far as your host file you can add the sites you want to block as follows to the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

127.0.0.1 007guard.com
127.0.0.1 008i.com
127.0.0.1 008k.com
127.0.0.1 00hq.com
127.0.0.1 010402.com

no... that doesn't really block the sites from being accessible for a person who tries to go to a 'restricted' sites.

But, yes I want a parental control type of thing.
