I finally got the SATA drive booting up the way it should, however, in the boot partition, there is a remnant directory that is empty, is not hidden or read-only but is not accessible by any means. I would like to delete this directory.

Is there a program or a way out there that will delete a locked directory, regardless whether it is empty or not?

Thanks in advance.

Here is something else you can try

Right click the folder and select properties
Click the security tab
Click the Advanced button
Click the owner tab
Make sure the current administrator is the owner
Place a check next to Replace owner on subcontainers and objects
Click the OK button twice

Now try and delete the folder.

Thank you very much, both for your time and advice. You saved me having to install the A drive, booting to DOS with an earlier OS, etc... :)

Unfortunately, the directory was corrupted to a point that it did not show much, other than it was inaccessible. However, the "unlocker" program got rid of it without problem.

Again, many thanks...
