I have gone all through my device manager and updated drivers and everything says I have the best driver and device is working properly however I can't get any sound from my speakers whatsoever. I have gone through the troubleshooting for windows and still have not gotten anywhere. I'm not sure if I have a sound card other than the on board sound card. There are no yellow exlamation marks on my device manager other than for the USB slot because the one in the front of my tower is not hooked up. I don't know what to do. Can someone help me. Let me know what kind of info you need and I'll do my best to get it to you to resolve this problem. Thanks!

A lot of times, the mute box is checked. Go to sounds in the control panel, click on each tab one at a time and click on volume. Make sure that none of the mute boxes are checked.

If the jacks on the sound card are in a vertical position, then you have a chip set on the mobo. If they are in a horizontal position, you have sound card. I have my sound card connected to my home stereo and it rocks.
