CDROM not displaying?

For some odd reason my CDROM drive is not showing up in windows explorer. This is a new problem. I put a CD in the drive and now I can't see the drive at all. I've tried rebooting and it's still not showing up.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Doe the BIOS see it on the POST and does it show in Control Panel, Administrative tools, computer management, disk management?

I am not expert in this but let me tell you that I had something like that. Usually todays there are many reason for that, I suggests you first use some spyware software to clean your computer
