One of my client's websites is getting tons of spam. They are using outlook. I have no spam filtering on the server, and they have not spam filtering on their windows machines.

What solution would you recommend?

My personal choice is to give them each a gmail account, and have it "send as" their .com address, and then have their .com address forward to their "hidden" gmail. The reason I quote "hidden" is because some email clients will show the gmail account, but most will not.

Why not get a spam filter instead? If you are using exchange server, here's a review of four popular ones

Just checking it out, my cpanel has been updated (just within the past few days) and perhaps other elements of my webhost have been updated, too. It comes with SpamAssassin, and it's currently enabled. I will have to ask my clients if it is working any better now. Is SpamAssassin a viable solution??

I've gotten heaps of spam from my .com.au domain - I believe all the .au's are registered on a website that spammers look at. :(

I got a program from web assist which is great. it is called a contact solution form with 4 levels of security to stop spam. I use it on every site i design and for the price is a very good deal.
