Copying filenames as a list to spreadsheet

Anyone know of an easy way to copy filenames only to some format that could be transferred to a spreadsheet?

I just tested it from a command prompt. Let's say you just want the names of the files and no other information in the list.

Open a command prompt. cd to the directory that holds the files.

Then run:

dir /b > file_name.xls

It sends the list directly to the spread sheet.
