Corrupted user profiles in Win 2K

Hello, I am trying to find out why Novell GroupWise corrupts some roaming user profiles in Win 2K, these show as username Then the next time the user logons on they get username.000, then
username.001 and so on.
If any one out there can help me that would be much appreciated.
