Is there a registry key i can add or a setting i can change in windows xp that will make users press control alt delete. There is no domain but the computer is on a network.

I'm assuming you mean at login?

Go to Control Panel | User Accounts
Select Change the way users log on or off
Uncheck Use the Welcome Screen and Use Fast User Switching

Go to Administrative Tools | Local Security Settings | Local Polices | Security Options

Under Interactive Login: Do Not Require CTRL+ALT+DEL -- set that to Disable

Microsoft says that its to ensure that you're giving your username and password to windows and not some kind of trojan.

Yea it keeps your computer safe. Remember its microsoft so i take every precaution nessasary to keep my computer safe
