Happy Thanksgiving!

I have a 500 MB hard drive, a 250 MB hard drive, and two CDs. I did a "clean" Windows XP (SP3) reinstall. Windows works ok. But, the D: drive (the 250 MB HD, w/ data) disappeard.

BIOS shows:

SATA* Port 0 The 500 MB HD
SATA" Port 1 Not installed
SATA* Port 2 Not Installed
SATA* Port 3 The 250 MB HD

Primary master CD # 1
Secondary Master CD # 2

* Configured as IDE

MyComputer shows:

The 500 MB HD as C:, the 1st CD as D:, and the second CD as E:.

System Information / Hardware / Device Manager shows:

2 HDs working properly:

The 250 MB HD in Loc 1 and the 500 MB HD in Loc 0.

Is the data in the 250 MB HD gone? Can I fix the problem?

Thank you.

Hi!

FYI, the Disk Management shows: the 250 MB HD as Unallocated.
