Hi all,

I have any issue with my keyboard.

It constantly acts retarded and takes very long to display what i have types out on onto my screen.

How can i resolve this?

I am not sure if this is hardware related or there could be a software causing this issue.

I apologize in advance if i have posted this wrongly.

The easiest thing to do is try a different keyboard. That is where I would start.

If swapping keyboards works and your original keyboard is a wireless keyboard might be an idea to try swapping the battery in it.

I have this occur frequently when applications are processing something in the background, for example when I am rendering videos and maxing my CPU, this is a common occurance.

When this happens open task manager and look at your CPU usage. If it's very high, find out what program is causing the high CPU useage. Then try closing that application and see if the situation improves.

I'm not a gamer, but I would suspect this is a common occurance for them, particularly if you are trying to chat and play at the same time.

Another one that it can be useful to check is Process Explorer from Sysinternals. The main reason behind that is that sometimes a hardware driver causes hardware interrupts to shoot up which causes delays in keyboard and missing letters normally too. In Task Manager Hardware Interrupts is included in the System Idle.

CPU usage is not high and does not spike up when the keyboard starts acting up.

The keyboard started to work find after i removed the real-time file scanning from my mcafee AV.

Thanks for all the help guys !!
