Hope someone can help. I'm using Windows XP Home Edition. I don't know what happened, but while trying to copy a photo from a Word document to my desktop the white font/text below each icon was suddenly surrounded by a colored box. By right-clicking on my desktop and going to Properties and clicking on the Desktop tab I can change the color of the icon boxes by using the drop-down color list, but there's no choice for no color. What do I need to do in order to have the icons appear on my desktop, so only the white font appears under each icon? I appreaciate any help!
