Hey i reformatted my laptop because it was overwhelmed in problems and apparently when i reformatted the DMI got erased. Since the DMI was erased my XP Home CDs did not recognize the computer, and i couldn't reinstall XP onto the computer. So I call up support (Toshiba) and they tell me they can program it for $100. Thats crap. So can anyone here tell me how to or send me to a link that tells me how to reprogram my DMI??

Since you have a legal COA to Windows XP Home, I would just look for a place to download a copy online without the DMI protection.
