I'm Running Windows XP Pro.
I have Winzip 8.1 (registered)
(see my sig for computer config details.)

a couple of weeks ago i started having this weird anomoly... serach google with no luck.

when ever i download a zip file and i click "OPEN" (instead of save to disk) it opens the zipped up file but it is EMPTY, as in no files are contained within the archive. but if i click save file to disk and save it. then open it after the fact it is normal and the files are in the archive.. WEIRD!!!! anyway it is beginning to piss me off and thought maybe someone else migth have had the same problem and know what to do

what i have done so far:
rebooted the pc (duh)
re installed Winzip 8.1
cleared out my temp directory
clear out my temp internet files (cache) and cookies

any ideas?

Sounds like a windows thing more than a winzip thing...

Other than that though, I'm really not sure what could be causing it.

I've never liked XP, so haven't gotten too in-depth with its multitude of odd lil problems that pop up (like this one, heh)

i've had this problem before, but it turned out to be just certain
combinations of what version zipped and was doing the unzip.

maybe that's what it is....

I ran into this same problem a while back... it affected more than just winzip files.. not to say this is the exact same problem, but i was able to fix it by increasing the the disk space used for my Temporary Internet files folder.
