Is there a way to create and affix an electronic copy of a hand-signature in Microsoft Word or Excel.

Well, you could create an image of the signature by scanning a hand signature or using a graphics tablet to sign your name, and then insert the image into the Word or Excel document.

I think that would probably be the simplest way.

Hob that works, but "technically" it does not legally qualify as an electronic signature. At work we use Topaz signature capture pads
http://www.topazsystems.com/

They aren't free but you have to have the hardware. They work with Microsoft office and Adobe pdf.

I tried importing a pdf file and inserted the same in a Word Document. Is there a way to rotate the picture through 90 degrees if you need to. [All the options on the Draw tool bar are greyed out... so the rotate & flip option doesn't work... any thoughts on how i might accomplish a rotation of the inserted object[picture] ... the Help says I can do it but all options are greyed out....]

Ok I think I answered my own question: the pdf file can be rotated as required and then inserted into MS Word or Excel.

Thx.
